Linda Boardman

Linda Boardman

President, Branch Brook Holdings, LLC

Linda Boardman has served as President of Branch Brook Holdings since January 2013. Previously, she was President of Applegate Farms, the leading brand of natural and organic deli meats. Linda held senior roles with Whole Foods Market, including leading the company's private label group. She also has worked in brand management at Ocean Spray Cranberries. In addition to her Branch Brook duties, Linda currently serves on the Board of Directors of Frontier Natural Product Cooperative. Linda holds an AB degree from Harvard College.


Andrew Richards

Andrew Richards

Mr. Richards founded Swander Pace Capital in 1996 and is SPC's CEO and Chairman of the Investment Committee. His past Chairmanships include Eagle Pack Pet Foods, Lavo, Liberty Brand Products, Nonni's Food Company, Pineridge Bakery, and S.T. Specialty Foods. He is a current board member at Voortman Cookies and Reliance, and a former Director of Applegate, Merrick Pet Care, and Kicking Horse Coffee. Mr. Richards is also actively involved with Branch Brook Holdings.

Prior to SPC, he directed the private equity investment program in consumer products for William E. Simon & Sons. Earlier in his career, Mr. Richards was an investment banker at PaineWebber, Inc., where he specialized in emerging growth companies. Mr. Richards received an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB degree cum laude from Harvard University. He also served on the Presidential Task Force for Market Mechanisms under President Ronald Reagan which studied the causes of the 1987 stock market crash.

Mr. DesMarais currently serves as Chairman of Oregon Ice Cream, Recochem, and Reliance Holdings(PlantFusion), and is a Director at Branch Brook Holdings. He was also actively involved with Applegate Farms, was previously past Chairman of Kicking Horse Coffee, and was a past Director of Lavo, Prepared Meal Holdings, RAJ Manufacturing, S.T. Specialty Foods, MarketFare Foods, and Liberty Brand Products.

Prior to joining the firm, he was a Principal with Banc of America Securities' Consumer & Retail Group in its investment banking division. Mr. DesMarais' experience also includes Deutsche Banc Alex Brown's Global Consumer Products investment banking team and several operating positions within Sara Lee Corporation. He received an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA degree from Michigan State University.


R. Timothy O'Donnell

Prior to co-founding Jefferson Capital Partners in 1989, Mr. O'Donnell was a First Vice President in charge of Leisure and Entertainment Corporate Finance at PaineWebber. Tim has extensive experience with equity and debt capital markets transactions. He currently serves on the board of directors of several JCP portfolio companies including firstSTREET, Inc. and MicroMass Communications, Inc. Mr. O'Donnell earned B.A., J.D., and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.


Steven L. Spinner

President and Chief Executive Officer, United Natural Foods Inc.

Steven Spinner has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of United Natural Foods (UNFI) and as a member of its Board of Directors since September 2008. Prior to joining UNFI, Steve served as a director and as Chief Executive Officer of Performance Food Group Company ("PFG") from October 2006 to May 2008, when PFG was acquired. He previously held senior roles at PFG, including serving as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. Steve has also served on the Board of Directors for Arkansas Best Corporation, a public company and the parent of ABF Freight System, Inc., since July 2011.


Mark Poff

Mr. Poff serves as Director of Captek Softgel International, J.R Watkins, and Passport Food Group. He is past Chairman of Bravo Sports, Fresh Food Concepts, Incase Designs, Kooba, and Wholesome Pet Care, and is past Director of Liberty Brand Products, Pineridge Bakery, Insight Pharmaceuticals, Raj Manufacturing, ReNew Life Formulas, Reef Holdings, and Totes Isotoner.

Mr. Poff joined SPC with its first fund in 1997. He was previously with the private equity consulting practice of Bain & Co., where he led due diligence projects for a number of private equity sponsors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Poff was a consultant with LEK Consulting where he specialized in valuations and acquisition advisory. Mr. Poff received an MS from the London School of Economics and a BA degree summa cum laude from the University of California at Davis.

C. Morris Stout

Mr. Stout serves as Chairman of Clarion Brands and glōProfessional. Mr. Stout is past Director of Border Foods, Fleischmann Vinegar, Gilchrist & Soames, Good Source Solutions, International Fiber, Insight Pharmaceuticals, Lavo, Prepared Meal Holdings, and Santa Cruz Nutritionals. Mr. Stout joined SPC in 2000.

He was previously a Vice President with Lombard Investments, a middle-market buyout firm. Mr. Stout's experience also includes The Argosy Group and Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he specialized in leveraged finance. He received an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BA degree from Vanderbilt University.


Corby Reese

Mr. Reese serves as Chairman of Aden & Anais, Captek Softgel International, and Swanson Health Care Products and is a Director of Clarion Brands, Frozen Specialties, and Oregon Ice Cream. Mr. Reese is past Chairman of Merrick Pet Care, and Renew Life Formulas, and is a past Director of Bravo Sports, Eagle Pack Pet Foods, Ideal Snacks, Insight Pharmaceuticals, Kooba, and Santa Cruz Nutritionals.

Mr. Reese joined SPC in 2004. Previously, Mr. Reese was responsible for originating and managing leveraged buyouts, growth equity, and mezzanine portfolio investments with BankBoston Capital. Mr. Reese received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA with distinction from Yale University.

Ms. Thorne is Chairman of J.R Watkins, Passport Food Group, and Voortman Cookies, and a Director of Aden & Anais, glōProfessional, and Swanson Health Products. She is a past Director of Gilchrist & Soames, Renew Life Formulas, Pineridge Bakery, and Wholesome Pet Care.

Prior to joining SPC in 2010, Heather was a Vice President at Thoma Bravo, where she was responsible for originating and executing leveraged buyouts and other investments in the consumer products, internet, and media verticals. Earlier in her career, she worked as part of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey's Corporate & Investment Banking division. Heather received an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Vanderbilt University.
